Look at All the Plants Around You

Deciding which plants you’d like to keep in your home or your yard can take a lot of time. Deciding on the size of your plants, the color scheme you’d like to make with them, often needs time and thought. Take time, and look at all the plants around you.

Whenever you go outside, be sure to look at all the plants around you. Do you recognize any?

Look up at the trees, how straight and tall they are.

Now, look at all the plants around you. Do you recognize them? Are they flowering, or just a large bunch of leaves. And, are they local to your area, or have they been brought in from another region or country; in other words, are they weeds that must be taken out?

Do you have any plants in your yard? Did you put them there yourself, or do they just grow every year, perennials?

Outdoors, while walking in the woods, or even in your neighborhood, look at all the plants around you. Touch them (make sure they’re not poisonous!), smell them, make them yours. Plants are amazingly soothing. Enjoy being with them.
